This video is from a series of digital neon signs displaying the Pledge of Allegiance from the United States. With the increasing politicization and polarization of the Pledge of Allegiance, I translated it into a number of foreign languages, many of which belong to countries that the United States is in cultural, economic, or physical conflict with.

This work belongs to a larger series of work that also renders the Pledge as a wheatpaste street poster reminiscent of protest posters displayed during the Arab Spring revolts and the Occupy movements.

In English, it reads: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
