Volumes is a computer generated video work by Maxim Zhestkov, which explores the juxtaposition of emotions and the laws of nature. Billions of colourful particles dance, play and communicate with each other in an eternal hypnotic ballet governed by the invisible wind of fate.

Throughout the film, the particles continuously evolve inside a simulated space. Each frame casts a new digital sculpture in which sound and motion blend for fragment of time, creating endless universes of possibilities. Volumes relates to the artist's ongoing research into the processes behind life and the universe.
