Rico used abstraction in photography and video art to seduce the viewer into the world of desequilibriums and intervals that articulates the stream of our daily life. The movements of light are left free to find poetic meaning and deconstructed to the extent their meanings shifted, possible interpretation becomes multifaceted. By emphasising aesthetics, movements are created by means of rules and omissions, acceptance and refusal, luring the viewer in circles. The inherent visual seductiveness complicates the reception of the manifold layers of meaning, exploring our nostalgic way of beauty, investigating the dynamics of nature vs human, including the manipulation of its effects, assumptions and deconstruction.
