Shot with my Android phone camera, heavily processed in Photoshop. "Functional Bravado" is a visual exploration of oxidized metal at the base of a building next to Grand Central Terminal in New York City. The objective in this image was initially to find beauty within dilapidation and decay. Since this image was shot in 2016, the metal has been removed and replaced with concrete. So I can add the inevitability of change to the objective of this series as well. We only really have this moment.
