The Film ‘Covid_19’ shows a machine interpretation of people wearing masks. The system was fed by > 25K images of people wearing masks. I must admit that some, that did not include people wearing masks, were a conscious decision in order to corrupt the dataset! As a result, disturbing images of demons and grimace appeared, as the machine runs through the latent space of possibilities. A grimace of the “in between” or of the branch predictor? This question the viewer will have to ask him/herself. This will be beyond the artist's conscious decision.
