Leaves 2 was created in 2021. It is a hand-drawn, digital painting using the procreate app on an iPad. This work exists in the space between traditional abstract painting and digital art. Although created digitally it is important to Ovila that the work be seen as created by someone. The repeated pattern and the colour choices allow for the viewer to have an immersive, visual experience with a ‘homemade’ warmth not usually experienced with digital work.
