Volcano was created by Idun Isdrake for their Nordic landscape black and white collection, shot in Iceland in 2021. The Geldingadalir volcano is the first active volcano in the area for 800 years.

Isdrake has followed the development and constant changes in this environment for almost two decades, capturing its raw wilderness to show the breathtaking diversity of this planet. This series shares scenes of their process of walking and being present in the various elements of the landscape. Long walks taking place nighttime to avoid human interference and create moments of rough stillness, cold beauty and sometimes violent movements, demanding the photographers full attention and focus.
