The further development of the well-known video installation "Vortex" by Betty Mü integrates 23 fluid, self-luminous circular surfaces. With the constant change of state of the cycles, the surreal video mapping installation draws the gaze into the vortex of a hypnotic time loop. A large stream of stimuli forces the viewer into a dialogue to decipher the circling story. The artist deliberately draws on a principle of gestalt psychology, according to which simple circular forms are perceived particularly quickly and passed on unchanged to the visual cortex. Vortex Fuse #1 thus unconsciously creeps into the sensory and perceptual world of the viewer, where it discharges in a brilliant psychedelic firework display.
