Affective transfer is about the way bodies affect each other. When the body takes up a context and another body expresses intensity in that context, one intensity is linked to another. The body attempts to respond appropriately to a given situation by resonating with the intensity of its contexts. Given the ubiquity of affect, many forms of media create emotional resonances independent of meaning.
