This work, created in 2023, consists of a variety of decorative art embellishments illustrated in a 19th century book of historical decorative art objects. I started by creating a collage of examples of decoration and borders from the Renaissance and Byzantine periods from the book. Since the examples were mostly simple colored line drawings, I decided to use black and white in the making of the initial kaleidoscopic tiles. Symmetry reflection processes were applied to obtain the animation effects of the resulting patterns. The video has seamless looping. No sound.
