Yarli Allison (she/they) is a Hong Kong-Canadian born, UK/Paris-based artist with a multidisciplinary approach that traverses sculpture, performance, digital, film, drawing, and installation. She fabricates imagined worlds that consist of her invented survival tactics and coping mechanisms, often in interaction with personas or creatures.
Her works have been shown internationally in numerous exhibitions and film festivals. Recent showings (2021–2022) include Decriminalized Futures at Institute of Contemporary Arts: ICA, London; V&A museum; Queer East at Barbican Center, LINZ FMR, Austria; and Radical Ancestry at FACT Liverpool (curated by Annie Jael Kwan). Yarli Allison is a recipient of the Arts Council National Lottery Project Grants and Hong Kong Art Council Project Grant (2022).
Yarli graduated in 2017 with an MFA (first honour) in Sculpture from Slade School of Fine Art, University College London, UK. She is a member of Asia-Art-Activism London Network.
