About this artwork
"The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old but on building the new. " Socrates
These paint strokes form and then deconstruct, and yet carry on releasing a never-ending flow of colour from a brushstroke that should hold a finite amount of paint. There's the visual exuberance of form released. A solid paint stroke reverts into an amorphous liquid flow. The artist's hand has gone, the forms and composition are now governed by the rules of the digital world.
