Kalachakra is Soa J. Hwang's video artwork released as a part of <Time + Machine> initially created as an interactive video installation.

Kalachakra is inspired by a meditative drawing practice ‘Kalachakra mandala’, which means a wheel of time by Tibetan Buddhists to learn the cyclical nature of time. The piece was conceived during the lockdown in the UK when our time seemed to be eternally repetitive. The three-dimensional representation of the kalachakra-inspired pattern was programmed to appear every o’clock.
