Unseen Unanswered is a video artwork by Enzo Roff released as a part of Obscured Shadows.

Enzo Roff returns to what remains of Shakespeare’s beloved Forest of Arden that he first explored in 2021 for the collection Uncouth Forest. Throughout the seasons, the changing decorations and spirits of the forest conceal its secrets that are sometimes difficult to understand, easy to miss and silently skittish.

Roff degrades and rebuilds his images over and over to achieve an almost impressionistic painted appearance of blocks of colour with confident, sweeping brushstrokes.

As with all Roff’s work, every sequence loops seamlessly to create a constant, endless cycle.
